I qualified in 1997 from Dundee College as a nursery nurse and since then I have worked within a range of settings. I feel that I have the most experience and knowledge of the private sector, where I have worked at all levels, including manager. Before working for myself at Balgillo Nursery my most recent employed post was within the Education Department of Dundee City Council where I worked closely with the voluntary sector.

Since qualifing to HNC level in 2000 at Dundee College I have worked within a range of settings at home and abroad. I have also worked at all levels, including manager.

I joined Balgillo Nursery in 2008 where I worked as Depute Manager. I also have a keen interest in the development of Balgillo Nursery and Balgillo Nursery Too.  Pamela and I continue to work alongside our newest team members to develop the practice withing the nursery and ensure that this operates to a high level also.

Pamela and I have previously worked together so I know that we share the same values and beliefs when it comes to high quality care and education. Ongoing professional development is a big part of this and I qualified in June 2011 with a Level 8, Professional Development Award through Dundee College and in 2016 I achieved a PDA level 9.

I joined Balgillo Nursery in October 2017 and am really enjoying working with such a fantastic and supportive team. I am a qualifed and registered practitioner having completed the SVQ 3 in childcare since starting at the nursery. I am currently working towards my level 4 in Early Learning and Childcare. 

I have experience working with children of all ages and prior to joining the nursery I studied the BA (ordinary) degree in Primary Teaching at the University of Dundee.

I have also volunteered with a local charity for the last seven years in a family group setting working alongside parents, children, volunteers, group workers and other agencies.
 
I enjoy arts and crafts activities and exploring the outdoors with children. I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my knowledge and skills through training and experiences and to working alongside the nursery team.

I have been working at Balgillo Nursery since April 2009 and I love every minute of my work. I am part of an amazing team!

Watching all of the children learn and develop new skills is very rewarding work. Following the completion of my SVQ 3 in 2010 I continue to attend regular training courses and I have also achieved an SVQ4. 

I am a fully registered Early Years Practitioner with the SSSC.

I have worked at Balgillo Nursery since November 2014, and have achieved an SVQ 3 in Early Education and Childcare. I have worked in Private Sector nurseries since 2013, and also volunteer at the Brae Riding School for the Disabled.

I would describe myself as being highly motivated and enthusiastic. I look forward to welcoming you and you family to Balgillo Nursery.

I started working at Balgillo Nursery in July 2015. Prior to starting at the nursery I was a child minder for a number of years in the Broughty Ferry area and have always enjoyed caring for and working with children. I achieved an SVQ level 3 from Dundee College in 2006.

I would describe myself as a happy and outgoing person who is enthusiastic about experiencing new challenges. I currently work part time at the nursery and  I look forward to working with your children and families.
