Registered manager and Director at Balgillo Nursery Langlea Place

Since qualifying to HNC level in 2000 at Dundee College, I have worked within a range of settings at home and abroad. I have also worked at all levels, including practitioner and manager.

I joined Balgillo Nursery in 2008 where I worked as Depute Manager and have a keen interest in the development of all of the Balgillo Nurseries.

Pamela and I are working in partnership to develop new services as part of the wider Balgillo group. Working alongside our newest team members to develop the practice within the nursery and ensure that we offer a high level of care and education for all children

Pamela and I have previously worked together for a number of years so I know that we share the same values and beliefs when it comes to high quality care and education.

Ongoing professional development is a big part of this and I qualified in June 2011 with a Level 8, Professional Development Award through Dundee College. In 2016 I achieved a PDA level 9 also.

I look forward to meeting your family soon and welcoming you to Balgillo Nursery Langlea Place.

Director at Balgillo Nurseries

I qualified in 1997 from Dundee College as a nursery nurse and since then I have worked within a range of settings. I feel that I have the most experience and knowledge of the private sector, where I have worked at all levels, including practitioner and manager.

Before working for myself and purchasing Balgillo Nursery, Torridon Road in 2008,   my most recent employed post was within the Education Department of Dundee City Council where I worked closely with the voluntary sector. In 2011 Balgillo Nurseries extended on to a second site, known locally as Balgillo Nursery Too.

In 2014 Kim and I formed a new business partnership to create Balgillo Nursery, Ardler Village and in 2016 acquired Balgillo Nursery Langlea Place.

Professional development is very important to me and I have continued to study since first qualifying and achieved a Bachelors degree in Childhood Practice with Dundee University in the summer of 2014. I am fully registered with the Care Commission and Scottish Social Services Council.

I hope that you find the information about the nurseries and our staff teams interesting and informative. I hope to meet you all soon
